Children

Our
Awana Club is among thousands of Awana clubs in churches across the
world. Awana is dedicated to reaching boys and girls with the gospel of
Christ and training them to serve Him. AWANA is an acronym—“Approved
Workman Are Not Ashamed” –taken from II Timothy 2:15.
We do hope you will be a part of this exciting program and witness how
your child’s spiritual life will be strengthened as we work together to
prepare your child for life and the many challenges it will bring.
Our Awana program consists of three groups: Cubbies for 3 and 4 year
olds (3 year olds must be 3 on or before September 1st), Sparks for
kindergarteners-second grade, and Truth and Training for third- sixth
grade. Doors will open Sundays afternoons at 4:15 for children to check
in. Awana begins at 4:30 and ends promptly at 6:30.
An
Awana Club meeting consists of several parts including time for games,
achievements, memorizing scripture, and a Bible story. During a typical
night, your child will take part in Handbook Time when he/she will
recite scripture to a leader to earn achievement awards, Council Time
that is the group Bible study time, and Game Time which emphasizes team
work and fun.
There will be the need for you to purchase a uniform and handbook for
your child. After you complete an order form and include payment we will
order your child’s materials. Scholarships are available. If you would
like further information please contact Ellen Goodman or Vivian Cade.
