Robinson Lake
Our church was donated a 37-acre recreation area in
1985 by Beverly Robinson. Simply called Robinson Lake, the property
includes a 6-acre lake, a large pavilion and restrooms.
The site is for church use only, and we do put it to
good use with frequent picnics for the congregation and as the
designated place for our annual Easter Sunrise Service. Also, Boy Scout
Troop 14, which is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Starkville and meets
in our church, uses Robinson Lake for overnight camps.
There is nothing better than hamburgers cooked on
the open fire, followed by homemade ice cream and being surrounded by
people you love and love to talk to while kids fish, run and play all
around you. It is great! We’d like to think that Robinson Lake is partly
responsible for our church’s growth.
