The MOC will begin its quarterly meetings on Wednesday, February 8, at 11:45 a.m. in the chapel at FPC.  We will break for a red beans and rice lunch (at a nominal cost) at 12:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall and finish our meeting there. We have several important items of business to cover, including voting for the MOC PNC nominee, so ALL men of the church are urged to come join us.  For planning for the meal we need advance reservations via e-mail to: davidsmays@gmail.com

Thursday Women’s Bible Study: Faithful, Abundant, and True

The Thursday Women’s Bible Study is back for winter! The seven-week study is Faithful, Abundant, True and is a collaborative teaching series taught by noted Bible teachers Kay Arthur, Beth Moore, and Priscilla Shirer. Each teacher leads 2 sessions, with a seventh-session panel discussion featuring all three. From the Member Book:  “Participants will watch the video sessions and unpack the rich teaching through daily Scripture study and personal application. Made to fit women’s busy schedules, this brief format will take most women 15 to 30 minutes daily.” The study will held in the fellowship hall from 1:00-3:00, beginning on Thursday, February 9, and concluding on March 29, with no meeting during spring break. The workbooks will be ordered on January 23, so don’t delay in signing up. Drop the bulletin notice in the offering plate on Sunday or contact Peggy Johnson (323-8765 or pjohnson@ms.metrocast.net)

Cook a Meal for the College Ministry

As we look forward to the upcoming year and the changes that will have to accompany Olin leaving, we ask that you would help come alongside the ministries of the church. One such opportunity is for you to cook a meal for the college ministry. We are only having 8 dinners throughout the semester, so we are asking that you consider cooking for one of them. Please call the church office at 323-1994 or email cwarden@fpcstarkville.org.
