Contemporary Worship

In response to the
growing numbers of people who prefer the exhilaration of a worship
experience with modern musical stylings and an emphasis on casual
attire, FPC began its first contemporary worship service (now known as “InterMission”)
in the spring of 2003.
This service is
offered weekly during the school year at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary.
Although the service is open to all, a special invitation is extended to
the college students from the nearby campus of MSU.
T he format of this
time of worship varies, although most evenings begin with a healthy dose
of praise and worship led by the Metanoia Band. The message delivered by
the worship leader is often based on scriptural passages that can apply
to modern life issues.
Free meals are
served monthly at 6:00 pm just prior to the start of the contemporary
service. In addition, snacks are routinely enjoyed in the fellowship
hall immediately after the service.
